It seems quite elementary that cheap, good SEO will give you quicker ROI than expensive SEO of the same quality. Similarly, cheaper quality SEO will give you even quicker ROI, if there is less money to return it will get paid back even faster.
Of course, SEO is quite complicated, so finding “good” SEO is not necessarily easy. Cheap SEO, though, is quite rare, so finding Cheap SEO is not easy either. Both of these things do exist, however, so with a bit of patience and persistence eventually you can find that really cheap SEO which allows for the quickest ROI.
We actually prefer the word “inexpensive” here rather than the word cheap because many people associate cheap with reduced quality. So if you go on a search for “inexpensive SEO” on the internet, or even cheap SEO, if you are stuck on the word “cheap,” you will indeed be rewarded.
The SEO companies with an established track record will always be charging well over $1000 per month. Many of these companies compare their rates to the really outlandish companies asking for $3000, $5000, even $10,000/mo. and more and advertise their service as cheap SEO. So what actually is cheap SEO? And what is “really, cheap SEO.”
Cheap SEO is quality, aggressive SEO for under $500/mo. “really cheap SEO is quality SEO for under $300/mo. Anything below $200/mo is a come on or can only be used with very low competition keywords. A good cheap SEO company may indeed offer SEO for less than $200/mo but they will certainly explain the limitations on that program or label it as “basic SEO” or maintenance SEO.
So you do your search and find possible good cheap SEO. How do you know it will work? First, tell the person you are dealing with you want to see some movement of your keywords within the first two months. Second, never sign a contract for so many months of SEO without performance guarantees built into it. Third, tell your provider you must see several of your best keywords on page one of Google/Yahoo or Bing within three months. If they can not accomplish at least that much in three months, you are not getting quality SEO.
Lastly, what is quick ROI? How quick should it be? Wow! You had to ask that question. This is a very tough question because it gets into more than just the number of visits to your site and to your keywords. In general, though, if you do not see month one of your good cheap SEO charges paid back by month four, something is wrong. You might still have “good, cheap SEO” but your onsite marketing or your prices or your offer or something is wrong.
If you are getting increasing numbers of visits each month and sales are not increasing proportionately you may have great SEO but you need to identify a problem with your site. Call your SEO guy and ask if he can see the problem.
